Hello!
My name is Margaret, and I'm a fiddler from Berks County, PA. I began classical violin training at a very young age, but over time began to dabble in various styles of traditional fiddle. My specialty now lies in traditional Scottish fiddle, played with ornamentation and technique appropriate to how it would have been played in the 17th-18th centuries. My latest project has been converting a modern instrument to a Baroque-era setup/configuration, to allow myself and listeners the full experience of what the music from the era would have sounded like.
I'm also an avid competitor - I've traveled to various states to attend Scottish fiddle competitions, and have qualified for the National competition multiple times. I also enjoy our local fiddle competitions, such as the Berks Fiddle Festival.

When I'm not off fiddling, I work as an instrument repair tech and music instructor at Meadowood Music in Blandon, PA. I also own my own wildlife education company, and provide educational programs with my team of ambassador raptors.
