David Gardner

Meet David, who will be judging the competition this year!

David Gardner is a nationally recognized Scottish fiddle performer, teacher, and certified judge for the North American Association for Scottish Fiddling (Scottish FIRE). A specialist in 18th-century Scottish music, he blends historical performance practice with decades of teaching experience. Gardner teaches string orchestra and leads the foreign language and fine arts departments at Warwick High School in Virginia. A Fulbright Teacher Exchange Scholar, he also performs with the acclaimed trio The Virginia Company at venues such as the Kennedy Center and Monticello.
