Red-Tailed Hawk

Buteo jamaicensis

Chopper is a male Red-Tailed Hawk who lost use of his left eye in an accident as a juvenile in 2023. While his left eye is completely non-functional, his right eye works just fine, and he is otherwise perfectly hale and hearty and will be joining us as part of our on-glove and flight demo team!
